This wine is from United States, California region, Napa County sub-region and Napa Valley appellation. The 2009 Right Bank shows good up-front juiciness and sheer appeal in its red fruit, flowers, licorice and spices. This is a suppler, fleshier style than the 2008 tasted alongside it. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. BORDEAUX BLEND Wine
This wine is from Chile, Maule region. Full-bodied, exceptional aromas, dark berry and cherry flavors, with well-integrated oak.. Cheeses/ Pizza, Meat, Veal & Chicken Kosher CABERNET SAUVIGNON Wine
Elegant scents of plums and marmalades of red fruits. When tasted it shows its rich concentration of tannins that gives volume and complexity because of its stay in new French oak barrels.
Our pineapple wine, Hala kahiki (pineapple in Hawaiian) is a golden yellow color and has a rich, dry, natural juicy flavor with a smoky nose. Pineapple is known to naturally suppress inflammation, aid digestion and help dissolve blood clots. It has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties, as it is high in vitamin C. Our pure, 100% pineapple tropical wine, Pineapple Makani, carries the original fruit color and flavor forward like a breeze into the wine. It is our second driest (extra-sec) wine, after the Luana Liliko'i. Extremely food-friendly, it pairs wonderfully with almost any dish. If you like a slightly oaked Chardonnay, this is the wine for you! Highlight: Pineapple Makani is 100% pineapple wine and our most popular tropical wine
Growing Season The 2008 growing season started with one of the coolest springs on record. Bud break was late all over the state. As spring transitioned into summer our temperatures remained mild. Fortunately we had a nice long summer allowing for longer hang time, developing complexity and fully mature grapes. Columbia Valley AVA is the largest grape growing region in the state of Washington, consisting of 40,000 acres of vineyards. The Columbia Valley AVA equates to 99% of the total vineyard area planted in the state of Washington. Lonesome Spring Ranch Vineyard, Columbia Valley AVA Planted in 1996 by Collin Morrell, the farmland is around 110 acres and harvest is completed by hand or machine. This vineyard sits at an elevation between 890-1000ft. The location is mostly South and SE and the soil provides Kootenay silt loam 2-8% slope and starbuck 5-15% slope. Before this land was planted as a vineyard it was a pasture for apricots. This vineyard has been providing Locati Cellars with great fruit year after year. From early winter through harvest, conditions could not have been more perfect. Late winter rains came at an excellent time and before the dormant vines awoke. Through spring and bud break, the weather cooperated and frost was of little or no concern. The summer growing season was outstanding with moderate temperatures that paved the way for a huge set in the vineyard. Harvest conditions were superb with rain staying away. Yields proved to be 20% over initial estimates and the 2012 vintage will go down as one of the finest in recent history.
Making small quantities of wine from the highest quality fruit is only half of the goal at Covington Cellars; the other is to make guests feel like family. Founded in 2002 by David and Cindy Lawson, this is a true labor of love. p Long before David and Cindy Lawson founded Covington Cellars, they shared a passion for wine, food, and travel. David was a home winemaker and Cindy a home cook. Then they took their interests to the next level as David studied Enology at UC Davis, and Cindy studied the culinary arts and the art of wine and food pairing at various culinary schools around the country. Today the couple shares their passions with other enthusiasts through their wine and cooking classes, winemaker dinners, and of course, the winery.
This 2010 Rexford Winery Pinot Noir was made from grapes grown in the Fambrini Vineyard located in the mountains just west of Santa Cruz. The Fambrini Vineyard, with its limestone-laden soil and cool climate, is ideal for the growing of Pinot Noir grapes. This is our third vintage from this vineyard, and it exhibits the truly distinct aromas and tastes that we have found to be characteristic of past vintages from the vineyard.
Has a particularly supple balance of fruit, spice, and texture. Bright berry and floral aromas are followed by a brooding earthy mouthfeel. It is dense without being heavy and structural yet still approachable. Please enjoy this wine in the same manner it was produced: with good friends and family.
Here too is a very reserved yet ultra classy and refined, indeed even ethereal nose that is quite simply kaleidoscopic in its breadth, combining red, blue and black fruits with spice, earth, minerality and a hint of underbrush that stands aside for the perfectly balanced, pure and stylish medium full flavors that are very firmly but not aggressively structured while delivering flat out unbelievable length yet all the while remaining completely understated in personality. As are all the very best vintages of RC, this is spherical with nothing out of place and this will age effortlessly for decades. The La Ti12che is truly spectacular but there is simply another dimension of depth present here. A wine of sheer class and the epitome of the phrase 'power without weight'.
