The aromas of fresh strawberries and purple Mr. Sketch marker tickle your nose while subtle game, raw meat, and wet gravel follow for interest. Medium bodied with juicy acids and great balance, the SoRho displays beautiful flavors of pepper, pomegranate, dried herbs and just a touch of Framboise. Perfectly firm tannins provide a gentle grip that lingers on the palate and lets you know this treat is more than happy to live in your cellar for a while. Serve slightly chilled with a wide variety of foods!

The 2010 growing season was on schedule with bud break in early April, but a cool, wet spring led to delayed flowering and reduced fruit set across many varieties. An unusually cool summer produced dramatic differences in ripening between warmer and cooler sites, with verasison extending well into September in some cooler areas. However, naturally low yields, combined with over a month of consistenly warm weather from late September through late October, produced phenolic ripeness and flavor development with extraordinary natural acidity. Cool, wet weather returned in late October, an appropriate bookend to a challenging harvest. Overall, this vintage will show balanced and elegant wines with lower alcohol and higher acidity.
WINEMAKING: 100% Chardonnay [Clones 76, 96 & 97]. Vineyard located across the street from Saintsbury, planted in 2000. Gentle whole cluster pressing with stainless steel tank fermentation and aging - and no secondary fermentation or oak influence - allows the fruit to shine through with little winemaker influence. This is a distinct departure from typical oaky, buttery Napa Chardonnay. If you don't like most Chardonnay, you'll love this food-friendly wine.
Karma opened it doors August 10, 2007 and established itself as the first Methode Champenoise house in the Lake Chelan AVA. Located on the beautiful South Shore; owners Julie and Bret wanted to maintain the agricultural feel to the 70 acre estate. In doing so, they decided to build an underground wine cave. This allowed for a substantial building with very little impact on the neighbourhood and surrounding vineyards. This 3,000 square foot facility was the perfect answer for temperature control, as it rarely fluctuates much past 55 degrees. As the winery grew, the wine cave became a very popular choice for private parties and weddings. The acoustics are dynamite, some even think it makes the wine taste better! Karma Vineyards is a strong supporter of arts and the youth in the Lake Chelan Valley. One dollar from every wine flight sold at Karma is donated towards arts, drama and healthy children's programs here in the Lake Chelan Valley
A wild cherry that grows prolifically throughout Montana, the Chokecherry got its name because it doesn't sweeten until after a frost. Montanans have used it for years to make their favorite syrup and jelly. This tradition, inspired our winemaker to marry this familiar flavor with local honey, and create a true Montana wine and the winner of our first gold medal. Serve slightly chilled.
2011 in Napa Valley was a cooler season, with moderate temperatures and October rain. We were fortunate to pick the day before the rain, and again at the end of the month after a second heat spike that provided ideal ripening. This resulted in an opportunity to create a stellar wine with soft tannins yet strong structure. The 2011 is approachable early, it has a delightfully delicate nose, tastes of red and black fruits, chocolate, and attractive charcoal, and should cellar well into the next decade.
This wine is from France, Bordeaux region, Haut Medoc sub-region and Pauillac appellation. Situated on the Pauillac-Saint Julien border, immediately north of the walled vineyard of Leoville, overlooking the Gironde River. (Appellation Pauillac Controlee)
One of Bordeauxs most concentrated rich and full-bodied wines. Latour is dark ruby in color and has a unique bouquet of fresh walnuts, leather, and black currants. BORDEAUX BLEND Wine
The wines from the 2005 vintage have terrific fruit intensity, show great natural acidity and are beautifully balanced. The 2005 vintage started off as a big challenge because the previous year had been a freeze year with very little fruit to harvest. We spent extra time pruning, shoot thinning and crop thinning to make sure the fruit came back evenly. Mother Nature provided us with a classic wine-growing season, with plenty of heat units to fully ripen the grapes. Bud break started around the third week in April. The weather cooled off a little earlier than usual, dropping into the 80s around the end of August. This cooling-down period maximized flavor development.
