The estate was passed down to his son in 1927, who established labels such as Vallezarza, Valderrin and Vina Herminia. Finally, in 1997, the Grupo Caballero decided to enter the world of La Rioja wines, and merged with the winery to create the Bodegas Vina Herminia. Composed mostly of Tempranillo, Vina Herminia Reserva is a powerful, concentrated red with enticing aromas of blackberry, cherry, cedar, tobacco and anise. The structured, medium-bodied palate offers harmonious notes of ripe red berry, dried rose, cracked pepper and leather, with hints of Garnacha and Graciano adding touches of mineral and spice to the elegant, balanced finish.
